Can you believe that Father's Day has officially only been in existence since 1972. It took 4 presidents and a Maine senator to eventually make it an official holiday. Mother’s Day had been around for approximately 60 years by then. Sonora Smart was the first person to suggest Father’s Day to honor her Father who was left to raise his 6 children when his wife died giving birth to their 6th child. It was then proposed to complement Mother’s day in celebrating fatherhood and male parenting. Nowadays Father's Day is celebrated on a variety of dates around the planet and typically involves gifting, extraordinary dinners to fathers, and family-focused activities. To help in support of Father’s day young members of the YMCA went to church sporting a rose: a red rose to celebrate a living father, and a white rose to honor a deceased one. Interestingly enough Father's Day was in jeopardy of disappearing from the calendar while Mother's Day was met with enthusiasm, Father's Day was often met with laughter. Not all fathers are exactly alike! OK, so you’re thinking what in the world can I obtain my dad for Father’s day? I don’t live at home any more and have no idea what he wants. You aren’t truly considering purchasing a gift card to Lowe’s or Home Depot are you? That’s about as personal as a another wool sweater. You may not live at home any more, but you probably have a good idea of what your father likes – is he a beer fan? A chocolate lover? How about a wine fan? I’ve found out that on the internet there are loads of gift that men would really like for a gift that are not difficult to order. I know, maybe you always thought “baskets” were for women, but once you check out a beer tub, you will have a new opinion. If your dad’s preferences are for wine, you’ll notice that they can be delivered not only a fine wine of your choice, but also a very good set of complementary foods that make a very sweet package. These gift baskets for a father would be the ideal gift for dear old dad on Fathers day. So let’s say your dad is a soda drinker and he is also a big snack fan. All you need to do is order Corona Beer Gift Basket for a man that fits the bill. The most important part of the whole gift is your message on the card attached so be witty and wise. Some on-line gift baskets companies will even custom design that gift basket to really fit your dad’s choices. http://www.basketsbyrita.com http://www.basketsbyrita.com/Corona-Beer-Gift-Basket_p_121.html http://www.twitter.com/basketsbyrita http://www.facebook.com/basketsbyrita

Say Healthier With Cheese
Say Cheese Since prehistoric times, cheese has been enjoyed throughout the world. No one knows particularly how the invention of cheese emerged, but since its discovery, it has been a favorite food in many societies. In the U.S.A. we have states, such as Wisconsin, which take their cheese very seriously. Cheese comes in many unique varieties of shapes, colors, and sizes from Mozzarella to Romano to Cheddar to Bleu to Brie, you get the picture. Cheese is one thing that is often craved, almost like chocolate. If chocolate and cheese are a couple of your favorite foods, consider a meal of cheese fondue followed by chocolate fondue. Some folks even take their cheese conviction along with them when they travel. Many regions of the world are known by the foods they make. Cheese is one of those foods that can put a place on the map. When you vacation, along with wine tasting, which is a popular experience for the leisurely vacationer, try searching for cheese tastings along the way as well. A Graduation Gift That Is A Special As They Are
Graduation Gifts Commencement is a major life event for anyone. Whether graduating from a bachelor's program or earning a doctorate, graduation is an accomplishment worth commemorating. In the United States, achieving 57% of the population between the ages of 3 and 34 are registered in some sort of educational program. Whether attending nursing school, law school, or high school, these people are taking steps toward a brighter future. Of this 57%, only some will actually finish high school and then of course postsecondary institutions as well. In 2009, 8.1% of High School Students dropped out of class before graduating. Of those who had started out as Freshman in the class of 2006, around 75% graduated. When observing Postsecondary Schools, the number of pupils who graduate are even smaller. In 2001, 38% of approved students of 2 year institutions graduated along with 65% from 4 year institutions. This shows that it takes hard work and commitment to achieve an education and this is why we should award those who see it through. A friend of mine recently tranferred from Rhode Island to Colorado to complete his education in a very different part of the country. He is lucky enough to attend a university with various campuses nationwide which allows him to transfer his credits without restraint from one state to the next. He did not leave because he was unsatisfied with the campus in Rhode Island or in order to find a new social scene. His only reason for heading to Colorado was so that his family in California could be resent for his graduation ceremony. My friend is from a large Mexican family and he is the first among them to graduate from university. For his family this means there will be a huge party that may last several days. He will not only be surrounded by loved ones and lots of great food, but he can count on the generosity of gifts. Gift giving is an important part of any graduation celebration, because it allows family and friends an opportunity to let the graduate know that they are proud of them. Giving gifts is a way of showing that you support what the graduate is doing for their future as they plan for their future. As the graduation season approaches, consider the importance of the words “Congratulations!” Whether conveyed with money, expensive presents for a future career, or a custom made Teapot Gift Basket, recognition for a job well done means just as much as the self satisfaction a graduate gets from their the completion of their work. A tealightful gift for the tea enthusiast. Our wonderful Tea gift basket for her is filled with an assortment or goodies and a beautiful tea pot. Whether you know someone who is graduating from high school, college, or university; whether they are graduating with their associates, bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree; or whether they are attending another postsecondary institution be it medical school, a nursing program, or an industry apprenticeship; they have earned recognition for what they have achieved. Useful Mothers Day Gifts For You
Mother’s Day as we know it is a somewhat recent holiday, though it isn't a “Hallmark holiday” established to sell more cards. There are a number of Mothering day or Mother-focused holidays in history like Mothering Day in the UK, Cybele in ancient Greece, or Mothering Sunday in much of Europe. Mother’s Day was developed by Anna Jarvis in 1912. Mother’s day was specifically chosen to be a singular possessive meaning it was suitable for each family to respect their mother, not plural possessive that would be used to honor all the mothers of the world. Following congressional passage, It was officially established on May 9, 1914 when president Woodrow Wilson made the official statement proclaiming Mother’s day as a national holiday to be held on the 2nd Sunday of May. Mother’s Day has thereafter celebrated in many other countries and cultures. In many cases, the date was changed to fit existing celebrations or to complement with a significant date which are for the most part religious. Due to this fact, Mother’s Day is celebrated in February in Norway and on December 22nd in Indonesia, with other dates in between celebrated by other people. One of the traditions of Mother’s Day is to give your mom a gift along with positive wishes as a way to honor her. If you live nearby (and are visiting your mom regularly!) you most likely have a good idea what to buy her. Then again, those of us that don’t live close by can be at a complete loss. Consider the things Mom enjoys a perhaps send her a surprise with that concept. Gift baskets are excellent when it comes to gifts with a theme. If your mom enjoys golf there are golf themed baskets. Maybe she is into tea and relaxation then find a nice tea baskets or a relaxing spa basket. Maybe she loves fine wine and you know she enjoys red wine or white wine or even champagne. There are many great wine gift baskets to choose from that feature wine which would make a appropriate Mother's day basket. The alternatives are many and what a gift baskets does, is give you a nice selection of goodies that she will take pleasure in with the theme she will appreciate. Rather than sending clothes yet again this year, you could consider a Lavender Relaxing Bath Gift Basket . Our bath gift baskets for a woman will relax and impress that special woman. This jute and reed basket is filled with spa quality products including lavender shower gel, body scrub, lavender lotion, large nylon sponge, hand crafted bar of natural lavender soap, Two lavender votive candles and a glass candle holder, peppermint foot soak, lavender scented drawer sachet and a fun embroidered hand towel. Truly relaxing and fun....She'll love it! Another thing to think about here is the useful factor. What I mean by this is many of the gifts that you give your Mother are either unnecessary or something she will never us. So, consider something green, useful and best of all reusable. The green and reusable is the present holder which could be a reusable basket or perhaps a 100% recycled reusable shopping bag. The useful is the great gourmet foods or the high quality lotions and soaps in the basket. Why not send her something distinct and notable this Mother’s day! Even if you live far away or right down the street these gifts can be delivered. Happy Mother’s Day! Thanks A Bunch Staff!
Thanks A Bunch It seems as though the craft of giving thanks has been lost over the years. Sending a personalized thank you note was once habitual for both personal and business occasions, but now most people presume it's enough to casually send an email with a prompt "thanks" before getting back to their active daily lives. Now don't get me wrong. I know that the world is faster paced than it once was and most people hardly have time to rest and catch a break, but if you think about it, that just gives you that much more reason to send a genuine thanks. Because we've become less conditioned to receiving an official thank you, it makes a much greater impression when we do get one. It genuinely is a lovely surprise to see someone went out of their way to say "thanks." I haven’t yet mentioned the impact it can leave on your business. By simply taking a moment to write a personalized thank you, you are able to express to your customer how valuable their business is to you. By developing personal relationships with your business partners, you are ensuring their loyalty and giving them a reason to conduct business with you as opposed to your competitors. If I still haven’t convinced you that delivering a thank you gift or note is worth the effort it takes, why don't you think about doing something that takes no time at all? Sending flowers or a gift basket from an online website takes about as much time as sending an email, but gives a much more significant impression. Gift like Hats off Appreciation gift basket Our unique appreciation gift has a black top hat filled with an assortment of sweet and savory goodies. This thank you gift is a perfect way to tell staff, customers and friends how much you appreciate them. The black, white and gold theme gives this gift a very classy look. Tortilla Chips, Colorado salsa, Jelly Belly candy, pistachios, chocolate bar, pretzels, raspberry shortbread cookies, and caramel cornGet rid of all objections and practice some good old fashioned courtesy the next time you have the opportunity to say thank you. Baskets By Rita is one website that has an outstanding selection of gift baskets for all occasions. (Insert database). Thanks for listening! Bunnies or Rabbits For Easter?
Easter symbolizes Jesus Christ’s resurrection, making it the most essential of all Christian holy days. However, currently the importance of the holiday is masked by dyed eggs and bunnies. Easter can fall at any time between March 22 and April 25 since is occurs the first Sunday after the full moon. Easter is also related to the Jewish Passover in symbolism and it’s location in the calendar. What’s with Rabbits and eggs and The Easter holiday? Well the rabbit is a well know sexual symbol of fertility. Religions connected with Babel link the rabbit with periodicity, both human and lunar. The Mother Goddess Semiramis (Easter) is related with the moon. Therefore, the Easter bunny rabbit represents the Mother Goddess and is affiliated with once a year Spring time fertility rituals worshiping the Mother Goddess. Painted Easter eggs are a part of the festivities too that came from the egg which was a sacred symbol among the Babylonians. They assumed that a wonderful size egg fell from heaven into the Euphrates River from which the Goddess Semiramis was hatched. It is something to think about how many of us honestly think about the actual meaning of this holiday apart from the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It has grown to be another retail holiday and very commercialized. However, it is a time for families to connect and celebrate the day. Kids love Easter for the presents, candy and most of all the Easter egg hunt which could take on a life of it’s own. Family member that are separated by physical geography many times send Chocolate Easter Basket to their loved ones. Grandparents send Filled Easter baskets for Kids to grandchildren. Daughter and sons might Family Easter Basket to parents and brothers and sisters far away. This Chocolate Easter basket is oh so cute and affordable. It's simply ducky! The Easter box is filled with a chocolate Easter bunny, chocolate eggs, a stuffed yellow ducky, Peeps, white chocolate chip cookies, plastic egg filled with chocolates, Hershey milk chocolate bar, Godiva white chocolate bar, chocolate pecan Turtles, and single chocolate truffles. http://www.basketsbyrita.com/Easter-Gifts_c_40.html

Love or Chocolate You Choose
You'll find Love is in the air and in the Chocolate around the middle of February. Every Valentine’s Day it feels like people give the exact same thing. A box of chocolates, a cheesy teddy bear, bath products, sexy lingerie, jewelry, it’s all totally predictable! While a lot of people wouldn’t complain about having a gift from someone they love, there must be more personal ways of displaying your love and affection. If you feel like your gifts are becoming gushy from year to year and you want to step it up a notch, why not make something yourself that says that you took the time to create something that comes from your heart. Not only will this mean more, but it will be unique and genuinely convey your feelings in a way that no greeting card can. Here are some ideas that will show you really care. You could Write out a list of all the things you love about them. This can be as long or short as you like. You can format it as a list, a poem, or even sing it to them if you have any musical talent. Leave it next to a vase of flowers or on the bed in a pile of roses, you decide how you want to present it. Everyone likes to be reminded of why they are loved and this is the perfect way to tell them. These are great ways to show that special someone how much you really care on that one day of the year declared I love you day. There are lots creative ideas for creating romance without spending lots of money such as Make and serve them breakfast in bed. Wake up early on Valentine’s Day morning and prepare their favorite meal. Present the food to them on a tray while they’re still laying in bed. What a nice surprise to wake up to! I love Valentines day with all this positive energy of love and romance and caring. If all else fails you could Create a scavenger hunt. Come up with clever clues which you can write out on decorative clue cards leading your loved one around town or just around the house from one clue to the next. At the end, present them with a gift or set the mood with a romantic hideaway which they’ve worked for by answering all of the clues correctly. A friend recently told me that he sent a gift basket to his wife last year for Valentine’s day and she loved it because it contained things that you don’t find in most stores. Great gourmet chocolates, flavored nuts, wine, olives and more great chocolate. It made him look really good and this very romantic holiday. I could have sent him a Valentine's day chocolate gift. A Chocolate Valentine's Gift Basket for your chocolate lover. This beautiful brown faux leather reusable and collapsible file box with a lid is overflowing with chocolaty goodness. If these ideas have sparked your interest or given you a good starting point for planning out your Valentine’s Day, please pass this along via Facebook or Twitter.
