A Wino's Perfect Dream Gift

All through human history, wine has been a celebratory libation savored in both social and religious events and rituals. For centuries wine has been savored for pleasure, celebration, and religious functions. Wine was traditionally thought to have medicinal properties and red wine is confirmed to be good for heart health. Although not all cultures consumed wine for recreation, almost every world culture has a wine history whether used as drink or medicine. In my life, wine is appropriate for festivity, leisure, and every now and then, as medicine. This fact alone makes wine the right gift for any situation. Anytime I need a gift when visiting a friend’s home, as a housewarming gift, or in order to say “thank you,” wine is my first choice. Wine is not only a stylish gift, but it’s easy to pair with appetizers, meals, and desserts. Enjoyed in high class social groups, wine pairings and tastings are a great way to network and spend time with friends. What a great occasion to socialize and learn a thing or two as well! Recently, I found myself in charge of planning a fairly large social event. In all the pandemonium of planning and preparations, I forgot to inform one of the event sponsors of a change in date. The day before the show, we realized the mistake when I got a phone call from the sponsor. On account of the miscommunication, they were unable to engage in in the event and had blocked time out of their schedule in vain. My first response in apology was to send the sponsor a wine and cheese basket from Baskets By Rita. For $150 I was able to send them a basket loaded with a variety of red and white wines, cookies, an assortment of cheeses, smoked salmon, gourmet crackers, summer sausage, olives, dried fruits, caramel corn, candy, snack mix, fine chocolates, mixed nuts, and more. I thought that this would be a gift that could be shared among all of their employees and I hoped it would convey my apologies for the misunderstanding. I would endorse a Baskets By Rita wine basket for any occasion for which wine is suitable. Whether you need to say thank you, send a housewarming gift, apologize, or present a gift when visiting a friend, Baskets By Rita has the perfect wine basket like Vineyard Wine gift basket for the occasion. Our BV (Beaulieu Vineyard) wine basket as a red and a white wine. This wine theme basket has a Pinot Noir and a Pinot Grigio wine, Pinot Grigio wine cheese, vineyard shortbread cookies, box of assorted chocolates, Alaska smoked salmon, a large box of assorted crackers and more. Give the gift of Corona refreshment Now

Along with chilly weather comes savory comfort foods and pungent spices. Imagine your favorite seasonal snacks: cookies, egg nog, Bailey's and coffee, flavored lattes, and apple pie. All of these share the rich, spiced aroma that we typically associate with the holiday season. As the seasons transform into autumn, bake shops and cafes bring forth their seasonal menu items. On a crisp, cold morning, nothing curbs a craving such as a mug of spiced coffee or a hot pumpkin muffin. When we commonly think of baked goods and warm drinks when we think of seasonal foods, another favorite that springs to mind is seasonal beers. While a coffee drinker may look forward to the return of their favorite pumpkin spice latte, a beer connoisseur might wait patiently for the reintroduction of their favorite pumpkin ale. In 2008, seasonal beers were the best selling craft beer in the nation. There is surely something to be said for the effect seasonal food and beverages may have on our holiday spirit. The principle of beer and food pairing is especially relevant with holiday and seasonal beers, since they are typically spiced differently than their year round counterparts. To learn the best way of pairing seasonal beers, it is important to know the numerous kinds that are out there. Oktoberfest beers are often aged and as a result have a robust flavor. These pair best with hearty meat dishes such as steak and potatoes. Harvest ales are made with seasonal spices and ingredients. These bold flavors pair well with the bold, rich foods the holidays are known best for. I’m certain you can place a few bets on which foods pair well with a pumpkin beer. Pumpkin is really a very neutral ingredient and lends itself to making for a good ale or lager. These beers pair well with lighter meats such as pork and chicken as well as seasonal vegetables such as corn and squash. It also pairs well with pumpkin pie. At Baskets By Rita we know a few things about pairing good beers with luxury foods. Any of our seasonal beer baskets come with an array of cheese, crackers, chocolates, and sausages paired to awaken your taste buds. Take for instance our Corona Beer Gift Basket. corona beer basket giftA Corona beer gift basket filled with Corona Extra a premier import beer. A Tabasco tin filled with spicy chocolates, Key Lime white chocolate cookies, buttered popcorn, tortilla chips and salsa, honey roasted peanuts, crackers, Wisconsin cheddar cheese and beef jerky.. If you would like to give a unique, customized person this holiday season, why not think about sending a beer basket? I can’t imagine a better treat for cuddling up by the fire and indulging in good foods than cracking open a cool, Oktoberfest beer and absorbing the bliss and warmth of the season. Happy holidays! At home spa treatment

A long week of work and classes leaves me ready to sit back and let go when the weekend comes. But we all know that the possibility of me having a weekend full of spa like services and peace and quiet is scarcely likely. Though I’m not working I generally wind up with a number of errands that’s stacked up over the course of the week, a house to clean, and a lot of other miscellaneous projects that slip themselves into my life somehow. Where I might be able to talk someone into giving me a five minute back rub, I doubt I’ll have time for a facial and a bubble bath. In this world where we live such hectic lives, it is close to impossible to slip away for an hour or two let alone a whole day to just leave our crazy lives and catch a bit ‘me’ time. Where I can possibly add in a trip to the tanning salon or a waxing appointment once a month, it’s never enough to help me feel like I’ve really pampered myself. When an occasion or a birthday comes along and someone asks me what I want, the first thing that comes to mind is “gift cards” or “a new pair of scissors.” Although these may be sensible gifts, they are essentials and purchasing these necessities doesn’t require much thought. A present should be a thing you want, not a thing you need. Occasionally all you need in order to justify a spa day is a loved one’s assistance or approval. A present should encourage you to take care of yourself, not help you run yourself further into the ground. Although I can say I wouldn’t have much free time to schedule a spa appointment even if I was given a gift card, I have a few home remedies that will do the trick almost as well. When I think a friend has been working too hard and needs a break, I buy them a pamper basket from Baskets By Rita to tell them to take some time for their self. Baskets By Rita packs their baskets full of high quality spa products for an all inclusive, at home full body treatment. The Retreat Relaxing Gift Basket is a great example of the types of products Baskets By Rita sells. Do you want to say thank you? Send a relaxing retreat basket filled with spa quality Body wash, bath gel, a scented sachet, body scrub, two scented lotions, a nylon sponge, cooling leg gel, two votive candles with a glass holder and a foot and nail care kit. . A bath and body gift basket is the perfect gift basket for any woman. If you know someone who could use some pampering and needs a reason to take some time for their self, send them a Baskets By Rita spa basket to remind them they’re worth a little extra special care. Balloon Bouquet with Gift Baskets That Care

When I was a child my parents would send me off to camp for the summer. The one thing I looked forward to more than letters from family was a care package from my parents. Some girls got a care package every week filled with sweets, random crap that would make us laugh, and pictures. Even though I did not get a package every week like some of the luckier girls, I appreciated the packages I got more because they were more unexpected and much better put together. Since my mom owns a gift basket business, my care packages were never carelessly tossed into a cardboard box, but instead were presented in a beautiful basket wrapped in bows. Not only was the appearance extraordinary, but my mom’s company has access to products which you can’t buy off the shelves in your local big box store. My packages were always packed with gourmet food such as fresh fruit, exceptional chocolate bars, various snack mixes, tea and hot chocolate, and one of a kind cookies and candies.. I would always share my baskets with my friends and for years after, my camp friends would ask me where my mom had found certain delicacies that they had only ever had in the contents of my camp care packages. Two months ago I moved cross country for school after twenty one years of living nearby my parents. Although full-on homesickness hasn’t set in yet, it has been a challenge being apart from my friends and family and there are moments which are harder than others. A few weeks ago I was delivered an unexpected package. I tore the box open to find a gift basket much like the ones my mom used to send me at camp. It included ‘energy’ jelly beans, fruit and nut mix, gourmet chocolate bars and cookies, some of the best granola bars I’ve ever had in my life, and my bike bell which I had left at my parents’ house. It was the most welcome reminder of home I could have hoped for and it reminded me that no matter how far from home you are, your family is always there to take care of you. It was the most wonderful surprise I’ve had in a while and it reminded me that my family is proud of my accomplishments and goals. As you prepare to send your student back to school this fall, remember the little things you can do to remind them that you care for them. Visit Baskets By Rita’s website to see our range of care packages including our Birthday Balloon Bouquets which is the perfect gift for you to show your student how proud you are of them. Send a birthday balloon bouquet to say Happy Birthday to that special someone. We have a great selection of latex and metallic to choose from. Send it alone or add balloons to your basket. For hand-delivered orders only in the Denver Metro and greater Fort Collins Loveland, Colorado areas. Whether for a birthday, graduation, or just because you miss them, a Baskets By Rita gift is the perfect gift for any student who needs a sentimental reminder of home. http://www.basketsbyrita.com/assets/images/birthday balloon bouquet.jpg

Finals week College Care Packages with Love

When I was a young girl my parents would send me off to camp for the summer. The one thing I looked forward to more than letters from family was a care package from my parents. Some campers got a care package every single week packed with sweets, random stuff that would make us laugh, and pictures. Although I was not lucky enough to receive a package every single week, the one or two packages which I did receive were always the best! Since my mother owns a gift basket company, my care packages were never carelessly tossed into a cardboard box, but instead were presented in a eye-catching basket wrapped in bows. Not only was the packaging incomparable, but my mom’s company has access to products which you can’t buy off the shelves in your local discount store. My packages were always packed with gourmet food such as fresh fruit, exceptional chocolate bars, various snack mixes, tea and hot chocolate, and one of a kind cookies and candies.. I would always share my baskets with my friends and for years after, my camp friends would ask me where my mom had found specific delicacies that they had only ever had in the contents of my camp care packages. Give the Gift of Gourmet Bliss

In many countries all over the globe, Christmas is a time to indulge. Societies throughout the globe observe Christmas as a time for generous indulgence. As the largest commercial holiday of the year, stores start offering Christmas merchandise and playing the Jingle Bell songs as soon as Thanksgiving is over and sometimes sooner! Grand department stores for example Sachs Fifth Avenue and Macy’s create magnificent window displays portraying signs of Christmas in a glitz and glam presentation of glitter, snow, and red and green striped candy canes. Even countries such as Japan, which is not accepted as a Christian country, slip into the holiday spirit and load up on presents for the Christmas season. I guess the spirit of giving is irresistible even when separated from its religious origins. The spirit of indulgence which Christmas brings upon us is not only extended to the gifts we give, but it branches out to encompass the ornaments we see all across town and most of all, the food we eat! Have you ever driven through neighborhoods at night just to marvel at all of the Christmas lights on front lawns and roof tops? And how many times have you given yourself a tummy ache with all the Christmas treats you ate at the holiday cookie exchange? These Christmas traditions are developed throughout the years in order to give us something to look forward to in the gloom of winter.

chocolate christmas gift basketChristmas is a time to commemorate life. In a religious context, Christmas is a celebration of the birth of God’s son on Earth, Jesus Christ. Even people who are not Christian have embraced Christmas for the sense of togetherness it conveys to friends and families. Christmas is a time for gourmet living as I have said before. Everything from the food you eat to the decorations you put up to the presents you give mirrors the season of the holiday, but they are not free of cost. In hard economic times, we find people cutting back on their Christmas spending and making crucial sacrifices to save money. Some people choose to get an artificial tree to save themselves the price of buying a new one year after year. Others purchase energy saving Christmas lights in order to have a smaller energy bill at the end of the season. And some individuals choose to relinquish bringing home the ready made honey baked ham and to baste a ham at home instead. No matter how your family chooses to save money this season, there is no reason why you should have to decrease your gift giving just to get by. At Baskets By Rita, we are committed to giving you the most for your money. Not only do our baskets ship worldwide, but they have the lavish appearance you desire to convey your wishes for a gourmet Christmas. Loaded with gourmet treats of all sorts varying from wine to chocolate to cheese and crackers, our baskets invite their owners to indulge. Give the Gift of Beer

beer tub Going back as early as 7,000 BC beer has been enjoyed by people all over the planet since its discovery. While techniques and recipes have changed over time and geography, the basic factors of fermentation and malting are a fabulous scientific discovery. But let’s not get so technical! We get it. Beer has been around forever and people like it! In fact, for much of history, alcohol was preferred over water, since water purification techniques had not been developed. Can you imagine a world where it is healthier to down a few beers than to quench your thirst with water? Try using that excuse next time you stumble home after having one too many! Although in present-day America we tend to classify beer among the "pub or bar" category more than the “fine dining” experience, in ancient times beer was the preferred drink of Egyptian Pharaohs. Countries such as Germany and Belgium are proud of their hundreds of breweries and take the craft of brewing very seriously. Try picking a beer in a Belgian market. You will literally have hundreds of selections! In the USA domestic breweries are becoming more and more popular. As a result, beer is becoming more popular in higher class social groups and has achieved the status of wine in some markets. Take Colorado for instance. Colorado has the most breweries per capita of any U.S. state and I think beer is easily the preferred alcoholic beverage of Coloradoans. As with wine, breweries and particular restaurants have started pairing beer with certain dishes for a finer dining experience. After thousands of years of experimentation and alteration, there is a continuous variety of beers available around the world, and new beers are still being created. When presenting a gift, why not think about including this long loved beverage? A beer basket from Baskets By Rita is a fresh and distinctive gift for any occasion. We can modify any beer basket to incorporate your choice of beers or a selection picked by our basket making, beer loving experts. We also pack our beer baskets with a assortment of snacks like cheese, crackers, chips and salsa, nuts, summer sausage, and popcorn. Take for instance our Beer Tub Gift . Our beer basket is a perfect gift for that beer lover. We fill our galvanized tub with a 6 pack of our Colorado Micro brews, chips and salsa, assorted nuts, beef jerky, beer cheese, crackers, trail mix, chocolate chip cookies, pretzels, popcorn and more. This beer gift basket is a great corporate thank you gift, welcome to your new job, birthday gift basket or even a host thank you gift on game day.. If viewing this post has left your thirsty for more, why not take my advice and sign onto www.basketsbyrita.com and get yourself a beer basket? Don’t forget to pass this on via Facebook or Twitter!

Halloween Gift Basket Delivered

As the leaves begin to change and drop from the trees and the air cools warning of the coming of winter, we put aside our crops and tank tops and get out our hats and long sleeves. While the cold drop in temperature may be a needed change from the sizzle of summer, it also reminds us that the days are getting shorter and we will be spending much more time inside hibernating. Some folks call autumn their favorite season and it does deliver many occasions for festivity and a chance for us to spend time with friends and family as we find shelter inside and search for ways to amuse ourselves and keep our spirits high. When we think of autumn we think of pumpkins, turkeys, red, orange, and yellow leaves, and harvest festivals. As the natural world wilts for the weeks of cold ahead, we honor life in hopes that we may continue to be blessed in the days to come. We celebrate the gifts of the harvest and give thanks for our many blessings. Putting aside the vacations and weekend excursions of summer, we ready ourselves for a drearier start of winter by creating entertainment in a time when it is tougher to find in our surroundings. The winter months are known as the ‘holidays,’ but the holidays really commence with Halloween and Thanksgiving, customs which have been around for hundreds of years which allow us to gather with friends and find satisfaction in life. This autumn, show appreciation for those you are grateful for by sending them a autumn themed gift basket from Baskets By Rita. Send A Healthy Gift Basket for Boss's Day

Harvest Time
Now that we are half way through the summer months, we start to look forward to the fall. With the transforming of the leaves, the cooling of the air, and the shortening of the days, we are reminded of the coming of winter and the end of a new year. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. Autumn itself has many of its own assets. For thousands of years, fall has been the time of year to enjoy the harvest and the gift of food. Symbols such as pumpkins, gourds, and brightly colored leaves are traditional in the United States as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day and Halloween. As the days get shorter and colder, we draw our attention from the gloom of the season and occupy ourselves with celebrations of friends, family and food, reflecting on the things we’re thankful for. Wouldn’t it be nice to show up to Thanksgiving Dinner this year with a little something more than the typical salad or loaf of bread to share? Or how would you like to surprise your distant relatives with a seasonal gift that says “I’m thinking of you and I’m thankful to have you in my life.”

Corona Beer and OH Manly Munchies

corona beer bucket giftGolfers and Fishermen Love Summer Gifts
The summer months offers  lots of time outdoor Eating! When I think of summertime I remember growing up in rural America and spending more time outdoors than I ever spent inside. This is great for kids lots of fresh air, vigorous activities and social time with siblings and neighbor kids. I learned that I could nearly keep up with the boys and I love doing outdoor physical things. I expect I should have spent a bit more time reading books.

With that in mind I think of the food that we loved in this summer thinks like iced tea, watermelon, salt water taffy, fresh vegetables from the garden. Oh how sweet it was!
Did you know that 40% of gifts are a disappointment to the recipient a 40% of the gifts we give are unwelcome and the normal person gives 29 gifts per year of an average gift costs US $52. Wow that is staggering I suggest you give food gifts next time. Consider a Corona Beer Gift Basket. A Corona beer gift basket filled with Corona Extra a premier import beer. To make this gift complete we paired the 6-pack of Corona with a great assortment of sweet salty spicy snack foods. Send this summer gift basket for a birthday gift, welcome home gift, thank you gift or even get well. BBQ Gift Baskets for Men This Father's day

Not all dads are alike!  OK, so you’re thinking what in the world can I get my dad for Father’s day?  I don’t live at home any more and have no idea what he wants.  You aren’t actually considering buying a gift card to Lowe’s or Home Depot are you?  That’s about as special as a another wool sweater (in summer no less).

You may not live at home any more, but you maybe have a good idea of what your dad enjoys – is he a beer enthusiast?  A chocolate lover?  How about a wine connoisseur?  At baskets by Rita, we’ve been thinking about what men really like for gifts and putting together  wonderful  gifts for you to order.

BBQ gift baskets for men
I know, you always thought “baskets” were for the ladies, but once you discover our BBQ gift baskets, your will have a new outlook.  If your dad’s preferences are for wine, you’ll discern that we can deliver not only a fine wine of your choice, but also a excellent  set of complementary  foods that make a really refined package.  Our BBQ gift baskets or our gift baskets for a man section is a great place to look if his tastes don’t lean toward alcohol.

So let’s say your dad is a soda drinker that is also a big cheese lover.  All you need to do is order one of our gift baskets for a man that fits the bill. The most vital part of the whole gift is your message on the card attached so be witty and wise. We will read your special instructions so let us know what he really like and we will put it in your gift basket. Such as oh by the way my dad really enjoys chocolate.  The nice thing about working with baskets by Rita, instead of the big guys is that we actually read your order and can build your basket with the customizations you want to make your gift truly unique.

Wine and Cheese Gifts A Hit

Boy could you go on for long time about cheese. The French think that the more stinky the better the cheese. Business people think that to succeed you need to realize that your cheese might get moved. Kids grew up with the stinky cheese man. Farmers know that if they can't sell their milk to a grade A dairy they can always sell it as grade B and it will be made into cheese. Wow that is a lot of Discussion about cheese without really saying anything. Cheese comes in so many varieties it is hard to keep up. I understand that there are people that are as snooty about cheese as there are about wine. I have grown quite fond of cheese over the years. I even have learned to like goat cheese.

wine and cheese gift basketBasketsbyrita's recent undertaking is to seek out great cheese that is shelf stable so we can ship it for you in a gift basket. Basketsbyrita offers a cheese basket, a fruit and cheese basket, a wine and cheese basket and of course gourmet baskets which all have cheese in them. We offer everything from a smoked pepper cheese to a smooth mild Havarti cheese. The selections are endless so we are working hard to offer them all. Our latest offering is a beer cheese for our beer gift baskets.

So don't let the stinky cheese man steel your cheese and if he moves it stay at it until you find it and cut it share with your farmer friends okay!

Gifts for a Healthy Mother's Day

If you have been watching the calendar you know that Mother’s day is right around the corner.  Mother's Day is this Sunday , May 9th, 2010, which means that you still have time to find the ideal gift for Mom. Perhaps you are looking to buying for your wife if you have children that ideal  gift to thank her for being such a great Mother.

The origin of Mother’s day goes back to 1907 when  Anna M. Jarvis, a Philadelphia school teacher (1864-1948), began a movement to set up a national Mother's Day to credit of her mother, Ann Maria Reeves Jarvis. She sought the help of hundreds of legislators and leading businessmen to dedicate a special day to honor all mothers. The first Mother's Day observance was a church service honoring Anna's mother. Anna handed out her mother's favorite flowers, the white carnations, on the occasion as they represent sweetness, purity, and patience. Anna's hard work finally paid off in the year 1914, when President Woodrow Wilson decreed the second Sunday in May as a national holiday in honor of mothers.

gourmet chocolate gift basket
This year is expected to be the largest in terms of those opting to shop online for mothers day. A lot people live a huge distance from their mother so shopping online makes ideal sense. Another reason is the selection is perfect and the convenience is hard to beat.
Research in 2006 concluded that 35% of the adult population chose chocolates and spa bath products to send to their mothers for Mothers Day as the most popular gift, over flowers and plants, by some margin. I think that is has to do with the people being more practical and the desire to give mom something that will last and that gives her some extra pleasure. There are some superb? dark chocolates and healthy snack out there that don’t come with too many calories and contain some added  health benefits.

With that in mind we have made some suggestions below to assist with Mothers Day and help you chose what to buy that special mother in your life on the one day of the year specifically for your Mother where you can thank her and show her you care.

Beer GIft Baskets Food Paired

Have you ever considered looking at the notion of pairing beer with good food?  This doesn't mean that you go out and find a great brat and cook it in your best beer either. I am even suggesting that you go beyond pizza and burgers too. Try out some of the following ideas! You might find that there is more than one way to enjoy a fine stein of beer.

beer gift basket
Cheese is one food that is usually associated with wines and champagne. Discover how good a nice brie tastes with a fine wheat beer. Apples like Gravensteins is another winning pairing with a Belgian ale. There are the ester, or fruity, characteristics that are frequently found in apple or pear-like fruit while the truffle honey harmonizes with the slight honey notes Belgian ales are famous for. Also, the flavors of gouda cheese compliment the Brett characters that are found in the beer. Some American wild ale loosely resembles top-fermenting beers that have been purposefully introduced to fermenting agents beyond the classic assortment of beer yeasts, sometimes replacing them completely. Strains of wild yeasts such as Brettanomyces, along with the lactic acid-producing bacteria such as Lactobacillus and Pediococcus, which are customarily considered contaminants in beer and wine making circles. They are used to deliver matchless sensory profiles by brewers who are willing to take risks as to both the irregularity of the results and the observation of the public.

The company Baskets by Rita offers an assortment of beer gift baskets and beer tub gifts, birthday and beer gifts online as gifts to those beer specialist . Their gifts are designed in useful containers that are functional when the goodies are being consumed and after they are gone. ”Perfect for and occasion”, say VanWoerkom, owner of the company.

One way of shielding and growing the human feature of a company is seizing the opportunity to identify the people who make the everyday operations doable. “During my corporate career at HP, Idiscovered that a key part of acquiring a company was making sure that the critical employees felt valued and would remain loyal because they were the company,” elaborated Van Woerkom. “Gift baskets are a great way to recognize the “administrative professionals.”
Baskets by Rita is planning for the 18th year to play a vital role in making Administrative Professionals feel appreciated and significant by offering great gifts expressly designed with employee recognition in mind, including. Thanks a Million, Starbucks and chocolate gift basket, wine and cheese gift basket, , World of thanks gift, Executive Sweets gift just to name a few of the designs that will be offered. “You did a FABULOUS job on the baskets. They were a big hit. By far my favorite gift we’ve given yet. You do beautiful work,” Writes J Rice, Marketing Manager, Oakwood Homes, after she ordering appreciation gifts for their associates.

basketsbyrita.com was started with the business gifting in mind”, noted Van Woerkom, “and we know that Administrative Professionals week is one of many a time for us to help employers build upon the unified environment that makes companies successful.”

Bar Exam CPA College Student Support

Hopefully the year starts out on a high note, nearly have their resolutions either written out or at least in their heads. This time of reflection on the past year gives us a standpoint of what we would like to adjust in the future. Change is always good but hard to embrace and to make happen. As the employee accountable for perks for the employees I find it tough to pick the right gifts that take in the most excellent product for the right event that will please the masses.  We all know that nothing is just the thing so it goes with gifts. I call it one size fits all which really means some will love and others will be mildly impressed.

I have learn that there are people out there better suited to make these design decisions than I am. I have been working with Basketsbyrita.com for many years now and they are very professional. They write the following:
Many companies deal with over worked over stressed employees that they count on to guide the company through these tough times. These employees are the future successors that are tasked with the goal to finish projects, pass the bar exam or perhaps taking on additional duties where others have had to be let go. These folks need a little TLC now and then. If they are the new lawyer preparing for the bar exam send them a stress relief gift basket or survival gift basket the week prior to the exam along with a note stating ‘hang in there we are rooting for you’. If it a project in it’s final stages send the survival basket to their home to say “we appreciate all your extra efforts to keep the project on schedule’.

The benefit this gift and message send far out way the dollars spent on these gifts. Statistics show that 60% of employees leave a company because they did not feel appreciated.  Having working in HR for a large corporation I know what it takes to keep employees satisfied. Most of all I have learned that relationships are critical to the success of any business.

Easter is Filled with Hope

Easter celebrates Jesus Christ’s resurrection, making it the most vital of all Christian holy days. However, today the meaning of the holiday is masked by painted eggs and bunnies. Easter can fall anytime between March 22 and April 25 since is occurs the first Sunday after the full moon. Easter is also linked to the Jewish Passover in symbolism and it’s site in the calendar.

How does the rabbit and the eggs fit in? Well the rabbit is a well know sexual character of fertility. Religions connected with Babel associate the rabbit with periodicity, both human and lunar. The Mother Goddess Semiramis (Easter) is connected with the moon. Therefore, the Easter bunny symbolizes the Mother Goddess and is linked with once a year Spring time fertility rituals worshiping the Mother Goddess.

Colored Easter eggs are a part of the celebration too that came from the egg which was a holy symbol among the Babylonians. The thought that a marvelous size egg fell from heaven into the Euphrates River from which the Goddess Semiramis was hatched.

I call it one size fits all which really means fits none well.

I have learn that there are people out there more appropriate than I to make these design selections than I am. I have been working with Basketsbyrita.com for many years now and they are completely trustworthy.

Easter The Meaning vs Today

Easter celebrates Jesus Christ’s resurrection, making it the most vital of all Christian holy days. However, today the meaning of the holiday is hidden by painted eggs and bunnies. With all that said not many of us really think too hard about the correct meaning of this holiday other than the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It has become another retail holiday and very commercialized. On the other hand, it is a time for families to join and celebrate the day.

Cheese Facts & Gift Ideas

Boy could you go on for ever about cheese. The French believe that the more stinky the better the cheese. Business people think that to succeed you need to realize that your cheese might get moved. Kids grew up with the stinky cheese man. Farmers realize that if they can't sell their milk to a grade A dairy they can always sell it as grade B and it will be made into cheese. Wow that is a lot of conversation about cheese without really saying anything. Cheese comes in so many types it is hard to keep up. I know that there are people that are as snooty about cheese as there are about wine. I have grown quite fond of cheese over the years. I even have learned to like goat cheese. Basketsbyrita's recent undertaking is to seek out great cheese that is shelf stable so we can include it for you in a gift basket.

Basketsbyrita offers a cheese basket, a fruit and cheese basket, a wine and cheese basket and of course gourmet baskets which all have cheese in them. We sell everything from a smoked pepper cheese to a creamy mild Havarti cheese. The selections are endless so we are working hard to offer them all. Our recent offering is a beer cheese for our beer gift baskets.

So don't let the stinky cheese man steel your cheese and if he moves it stay at it until you find it and cut it share with your farmer friends okay!
